Sarong - Handcrafted cotton scarf - Beach towel - RIA. RIA cotton sarong with tribal patterns. The designs decorating the sarong are created using handcrafted wooden stamps. A typical and traditional Indian craft for your ideal summer sarong. This is also a versatile accessory, adaptable and easy to wear.
The stamping of the patterns, as well as the production of the wooden stamp, are done entirely by hand. Furthermore, for multicoloured designs, the printing process is done once for each colour: this means that for a 3-colour design, the fabric is printed 3 times over its entire surface.
Additionally, this cotton sarong with tribal patterns can also be used as a sarong, which is a large piece of cotton draped around the waist and worn as a skirt by men and women in many parts of Asia.
The fabric is often dyed with bright natural colours, or printed not only with complex motifs depicting animals or plants but also with checks and various geometries and patterns.
This type of sarong is ideal to wear as

Block printing: a handcrafted gesture repeated by hand
Every sarong and scarf is created through a traditional process where the motif is transferred onto the fabric using hand-carved and manually pressed wooden blocks.

The process begins with preparing the tools and carved blocks, each designed to leave a part of the design on the fabric.

The fabric is prepared and spread out on the work surface: a simple base, ready to receive colour, rhythm, and repetition.

The block is then impressed by hand, one step after another. The continuity of the pattern comes from the artisan's eye and experience.

Finally, the fabrics are inspected, dried, and prepared. Small variations are not flaws: they tell the authentic story of handmade craftsmanship.
