Pareo - Sarong made of 100% artisanal cotton - OVON. The designs decorating the pareo are made with artisanal wooden stamps. A typical and traditional Indian craftsmanship for your ideal summer pareo. This is also a multi-purpose accessory, adaptable and easy to wear.

The stamping of the patterns, as well as the production of the wooden stamp, are done entirely by hand. Furthermore, for multicoloured motifs, the printing process is done once for each colour: this means that for a 3-colour motif, the fabric is printed 3 times over the entire surface.

Additionally, this cotton pareo with tribal patterns can also be used as a sarong, which is a large piece of cotton draped around the waist and worn as a skirt by men and women in many parts of Asia.

The fabric is often dyed with bright natural colours, or printed not only with complex motifs depicting animals or plants but also checks and finally with various geometries and patterns.

Block print: a handmade artisanal gesture repeated

Every pareo and every scarf is created through a traditional process where the motif is transferred to the fabric with carved wooden blocks manually pressed.

The work begins with the preparation of the tools and carved blocks, each designed to leave a part of the design on the fabric.

The fabric is prepared and laid out on the work surface: a simple base, ready to receive colour, rhythm, and repetition.

The block is then pressed by hand, one step after another. The continuity of the motif comes from the artisan's eye and experience.

Finally, the fabrics are inspected, dried, and prepared. Small variations are not defects: they tell the authentic character of manual craftsmanship.

Our fabrics are handcrafted from silk or cotton (as specified in the product description).

Each piece is unique and is colored and/or designed with artisanal procedures such as embroidery and hand stamps with hand-engraved stamps.

Thanks to these techniques, each fabric has small imperfections and color variations that make each piece unique and precious . The care and passion we put into the creation of each fabric is reflected in its beauty and quality , guaranteeing a one-of-a-kind artisanal product.

Hand coloring with natural colors requires an initial hand wash in cold water with vinegar or salt to fix the color. Afterwards, washing in the washing machine with similar colored clothes is fine.
