But does it turn black?
This is the question we hear more often than any other.
If "turning black" means that silver loses its color and can never regain its shine, we have to say: NO. Silver with a purity of 925 or 800 does NOT turn black under normal conditions.
Why?
Because the oxides that settle on the surface can be removed, just like any dirt on any surface. You just need to use the right product at the right time.
In general, we can say: If we don’t wait until our silver item is completely dirty (oxidized), it can be polished with less effort.
Exceptions include silver-plated items such as decorative objects (photo frames, trays, etc.) and certain types of silver-plated or rhodium-plated silver jewelry.

Strange right?
Especially if we think that both alloys (18 karat gold and 925 silver) have the same composition except silver which does not contain the percentage of gold. After all, they all contain both silver and copper.
In our opinion it is very unlikely (see: Do I have an allergy to silver ?)

Salve. Pandora tratta argento 925 come noi . Alcune cose sono rodiate o dorate e forse anche argento argentato 999o/ooo. Acqua e limone non è abbastanza. Dipende anche molto dello stato di ossidazione. Se l’ossidazione (il nero) è dovuta a contatto di candeggina, sudore o zolfo andrebbe pulito con argentil o sidol strofinando la superfice e asportando cosi l’ossidazione. Se si tratta di pezzi piccoli o catene può anche bollire l’oggetto in una pentola di alluminio con acqua salata. Questo toglie i ossidi. Comunque consiglio di farlo vedere a Pandora, cosi possono darle dei consigli. Ribadisco che “il nero” è soltanto sporco, in caso i metalli non ferrosi si chiama ossidazione, e va tolto. Come dai vestiti. Vestiti si sporcano e vanno lavati. Col argento è la stessa cosa. Saluti Andreas – Il mondo di WIt
Ho cercato di pulire due bracciali Pandora, immettendo un po’ di acqua e limone, e sono diventati tutti completamente neri!! Pandora è un marchio che vende per il nome, ma prodotti sono penosi
