This primordial syllable has been analyzed by countless sources of Indian literature. For this reason some texts consider the OM as the purest expression of totality, its vibration generates and creates, it is in fact considered the primordial sound that gave rise to the Universe.
It is also defined as ''the mantra of all mantras'' and we find it in all religions albeit in slightly different forms. The mantra OM is therefore not a single one, but is composed of 3 distinct sounds: A, U and M with a specific meaning.
