RUDRAKSHA is widely used in JYOTISH (Vedic Astrology) it removes the negative influences of the planets and promotes spiritual progress. There are 27 constellations Nakshatras each constellation governs one of the nine planets of Vedic astrology. For each nakshatra there is a specific rudra. The immense power of the rudra acts as a conductor and reservoir of energy, furthermore each rudra corresponds to a devi (goddess) or a DEVA (god) who are the tutelary deities of the person who will wear that rudra.
