Block printing: a handcrafted gesture repeated by hand
Every sarong and every scarf is created through a traditional process in which the motif is transferred to the fabric with carved wooden blocks and manually pressed.

The process begins with the preparation of the tools and carved blocks, each designed to leave a part of the design on the fabric.

The fabric is prepared and laid out on the workbench: a simple base, ready to embrace colour, rhythm and repetition.

The block is then hand-pressed, one pass after another. The continuity of the pattern comes from the craftsman's eye and experience.

Finally, the fabrics are inspected, dried, and prepared. The small variations are not defects: they tell the authentic character of manual processing.
