Rudraksha between science and religion

Rudraksha has not received widespread scientific recognition and its healing properties have not been proven. This is not surprising because many of these objects of traditional and cultural importance of a specific religion (in this case the Hindu religion) become themes related to faith and even superstition.

Another reason could be the diversity of opinions on the benefits and effectiveness of using rudraksha. There has been no organized research or study regarding this seed even to prove its medicinal or healing properties and its psychic or divine effects.

Although the Elaeocarpus (rudra tree) species is found everywhere around the globe, its spiritual meaning is of interest only to those who believe in its divine significance.

Since these seeds are identified as one of the symbols of the Hindu religion, they have not attracted particular attention in the Western world.
