Pareo - Handcrafted cotton scarf - Beach towel - PACO24. PACO24 cotton pareo with tribal patterns. The designs decorating the pareo are created using handcrafted wooden stamps. A typical and traditional Indian technique for the ideal pareo for your summer. It is also a versatile accessory that can be adapted and worn in many ways.
The stamping of the patterns, as well as the production of the wooden stamp, is done entirely by hand. Furthermore, for multicolored patterns, the printing process is carried out once for each color: this means that for a 3-color pattern, the fabric is printed 3 times over the entire surface.
In addition, this cotton pareo with tribal patterns can also be used as a sarong, that is, a large piece of cotton draped around the waist and worn as a skirt by men and women in many parts of Asia.
The fabric is often dyed with bright natural colors or printed not only with intricate patterns depicting animals or plants, but also with checks and various geometric shapes and designs.

Each pareo and scarf is created using a traditional technique in which the pattern is transferred onto the fabric with hand-pressed carved wooden blocks.
The process begins with the preparation of the tools and carved blocks, each designed to leave part of the design on the fabric.
The fabric is prepared and laid out on the work surface: a simple base, ready to receive color, rhythm, and repetition.
The block is then pressed by hand, one step at a time. The continuity of the pattern is born from the artisan's eye and experience.
Finally, the fabrics are inspected, dried, and prepared. The small variations are not defects: they tell the authentic character of the handcrafted process.

Thanks to these techniques, each fabric has small imperfections and color variations that make every piece unique and precious. The care and passion we put into creating each fabric are reflected in its beauty and quality, ensuring a one-of-a-kind artisanal product.
Hand-dyeing with natural dyes requires an initial hand wash in cold water with vinegar or salt to set the color. After that, it can be machine-washed with similar colors.
